Scorpion Compressed Air - Industrial Compressor Supply, 24hr Service, Installation, Parts

WET COMPRESSED AIR
Compressed air
must be dried. This is an undeniable statement of fact. Today's modern industry can no longer tolerate the problems of wet, dirty compressed air. Wet air causes rust, pitting, blockages, and freeze-ups, with resultant component failure and product rejection. Wet air is a major contributor of downtime, causing millions of pounds of lost production. The cost of wet air varies with each and every application. However, the cost of wet air is always many times greater than the cost of a dryer. Compressed air dryers pay for themselves, many times over, by increasing production, reducing downtime and adding to your bottom line. The tough question you have to answer is which type of dryer is the best choice for your application.
THE SOLUTION

If your air is used indoors for general shop air and does not encounter any special conditions, the dewpoint from a refrigerant dryer should be adequate. Outdoor lines, instruments, and special applications require the dewpoint from a desiccant dryer.
Compressed air applications range from general purpose shop air to breathing air - with a wide range of applications in between. Because the application determines the type of air treatment required, the first step in meeting your air treatment needs is to look closely and specifically at your air quality requirements. To help you select the right clean air filter treatment equipment for your application, contact us and we will be happy to discuss your compressed air system requirements.

Compressed Air Line Filters
Atmospheric air contains already in its origin impurities like: dust, various forms of hydrocarbons and water in form of humidity, which once sucked by the compressor is compressed and delivered to the line together with eventual oily particles. These polluting agents, interacting among each other, may generate abrasive and corrosive emulsions able to damage the distribution lines, the pneumatic devices and the product itself.
This leads inevitably to:
  • Leakages of air in the piping
  • Greater maintenance costs for the machine using it
  • Production decrease
  • Loss in product quality and corporate image
The growing automation of plants, the use of more and more sophisticated devices requires compressed air, which is much more free of those impurities it usually contains.
FILTER GRADES:
Coalescence filter - pre- filter, 0.1mg
Coalescence filter - post filter, 0.01mg
Downstream Filter - general purpose
Activated carbon filter - remove smells - 0.005mg
Refrigerant Compressed Air Dryers
Our economically priced refrigerated dryers cool compressed air by mechanical refrigeration to a 3 to 6 degree C pressure dewpoint. Condensed water is removed through an automatic drain valve. Featuring low power consumption, our range of dryers from Mark, Fiac & Vortex are simple to install with a quick connection. All the range of refrigerant dryers use environmentally friendly refrigerant.
Ratings are based on 25 degree C ambient air temperature and 100 psi inlet air pressure. Features
Refrigerated Dryers
  • An economical product that can reduce compressed air dew point temperatures below 7 deg C.
  • Easy to install and nearly maintenance free.
  • A GP pre-filter should be utilized to reduce contaminants in your system.
Adsorption Desiccant Dryers
Desiccant Heatless Regenerative
The ADS Series dryer is a heatless desiccant dryer made up of two vessels filled with desiccant material, which are assembled together with inlet and outlet manifolds. One chamber is in operation (dryer), while the opposite chamber is regenerating using the pressure swing adsorption (PSA) method. A small volume of the dried compressed air is used to regenerate the saturated desiccant bed by expanding dried air from line pressure to atmospheric pressure, removing the water absorbed by the desiccant material. These dryers are supplied with mounted filters.
All Models are supplied with electric connections (230v - 415v depending on size). Ratings are based on a 100 degree F inlet air temperature, 100 psi inlet air pressure to deliver a -40 deg C pressure dew point. Features
ADS Heatless Regenerative Dryers
  • ADS a cost effective heatless regenerative product.
  • Utilizes dry, compressed air for purge regeneration.
  • A pre-filter and after-filter are necessary to maintain desiccant life and improve downstream air quality.
